Congratulations America!

You’ve just elected a genuinely intelligent caring human being as your Leader. I know it wasn’t easy to get over your prejudices and conquer your fears but you did it and I am very proud to be an American once again. Electing a multi-racial man who has a Muslim name to the Presidency was a huge step in healing wounds both old and new.

One of my best friends just emailed me a news article from CBS that perfectly illustrates why I believe that Obama is the best choice to lead our Nation into this brave new era. Barack Obama is thoughtful, pragmatic, sincere, and respectful. He’s a great communicator as well, but now begins the hard part…

Soon it will be time to lead, and to show America what he’s got. No pressure though.

  1. Nicely put Woeful. I wish I could express how I feel, but there are no words. Except maybe these, which now have a completely different meaning tonight from Grant Park in Chicago, “The whole world is watching!”

  2. Our new President is a cold drink of water on a hot day.

  3. It is a good day.

  4. It’s a great day Max!

  5. This quote from Newsweek also nicely illustrates why I like the guy. Obama is genuine:

“The debates unnerved both candidates. When he was preparing for them during the Democratic primaries, Obama was recorded saying, ‘I don’t consider this to be a good format for me, which makes me more cautious. I often find myself trapped by the questions and thinking to myself, ‘You know, this is a stupid question, but let me … answer it.’ So when Brian Williams is asking me about what’s a personal thing that you’ve done [that’s green], and I say, you know, ‘Well, I planted a bunch of trees.’ And he says, ‘I’m talking about personal.’ What I’m thinking in my head is, ‘Well, the truth is, Brian, we can’t solve global warming because I f—ing changed light bulbs in my house. It’s because of something collective’.”

  6. even here in australia I feel the winds of change. congratulations guys!

  7. He will be forced to walk a tightrope though because if he leans too far left the mid-term elections will shift the Congressional power balance back in Republican favor and we can’t have that. Either that or he goes totally liberal like we have never seen, changes as much as possible in the short time he has, and only gets one-term. I’m all for doing as much good as can be done in a slow and steady manner. Change comes slowly in America, but the USA is changing.

Of course, there is a third possibility I prefer not to think about, economic depression the likes we have not seen since 1933. That might be enough to get him elected again in and of itself. People are concerned about issues, but they are more concerned about feeding their families when all is said and done.

  8. yeah he’s got a tough job ahead but I think he’s really up for it

  9. Indeed he is.

  10. Yup just as I thought you would let him cum in your mouth

  11. Don’t be hatin’ DynaDave. Barack’s got a helluva job before him cleaning up the colossal mess that “W” has made of America. It couldn’t possibly get any worse, I mean the worst that can happen is that we get to hear someone who can actually speak English for the next four years.

  12. oh yea its a Bush’s fault Isn’t that one getting old folks?

By the way enjoy thanksgiving this year cause it will be the last one with turkey and cranberry next year it will “CHANGED” to fried chicken and watermelon

and if that offened you fuck off cause thats whats dragging the country down thin skin no matter what color it is!

  13. Somebody’s been drinking crazy juice.

George W. Bush is going to go down in history as the most incompetent President in history. Just from a fiscal conservatives point of view the last several Republican Administrations have been disasters but his has been the worst. Additionally, Bush should have given more consideration to our Constitution, the document that actually makes us so special. Americans have never fought and died for The Stars & Stripes. They died for what our flag represents, the Constitution. The Constitution represents our Rights and indeed represents “freedom” itself, so why are We still so eager to give it up for this barely coherent bumbling fool?

Anyway, these things (among others) are unacceptable to me and to a lot other people who don’t like being silver-spoon fed Dick Cheney’s feces. We haven’t been duped into thinking that the GOP is doing “Joe the Plumber” and favors, only Joe the iBanker. This really doesn’t help the common man in any way. Of course the joke is really on the common man and the Republicans laugh all the way to the bank while they fuck Joe up the ass… Especially since they’ve convinced Joe that he likes being fucked up the ass.

President Obama will have a lot of work to do once he takes office by restoring the Rights granted to “We the People…” The Rights that our soldiers are fighting and dying for right now that don’t exist anymore. And this is exactly why the joke isn’t funny nor is the GOP.

… And who doesn’t like fried chicken and watermelon anyway?

  14. Dynadave creeps me out.

  15. he creeps me out too

  16. You see, the thing is that I actually know Dave and I’d be shocked if he actually voted for McCain/Palin. He is, however, known for his boisterous demeanor and antagonizing attitude. He just tries to raise as much hell as possible wherever he goes. This comment is perfectly consistent with his personality but not necessarily his personal beliefs.

  17. That does not make him less creepy.

  18. LOL… No, I never said that Dave isn’t “creepy.”

  19. Funny thing most guys that like getting fucked up the ass are democrats or at least most of the gay guys I know are democrats ! ha ha gay joke!

  20. Oh yea I did vote McCain/Palin but only cause Palin has a sweet set of tits on her!

  21. Whoa! Dynadave is a bit intense there, isn’t he?

    ‘fried chicken and watermelon’

Oh man, I would totally take fried chicken and watermelon over boring old turkey and cranberry any day…
